Celebrity Fashion Stylist and Editor, Alexandra Renee Scott grew up in the Mid West. She received a BA in Liberal Arts, Fine Art & Art History emphasis from the University of Iowa. During her summers, she studied abroad at Lorenzo de Medici, Art Institute of Firenze, Italy; where she studied Fashion Design and Advanced Intensive Italian Language. It was there that Alexandra became completely immersed in learning everything there was to know, breathe, live, and dream about fashion and its lifestyle.
Following graduation, Alexandra moved to Chicago where she worked as a personal shopper at Nordstrom Michigan Avenue. It was at Nordstrom that she learned the true anatomy of the female figure and was more inspired than ever to create compelling narratives through fashion. With that in mind, Alexandra graduated from Parson's The New School with an MBA in Fashion Studies before accepting an invitation to join the Harper's Bazaar Fashion Marketing team under Fashion Director Nicole Fritton. Following her tenure with the magazine, Alexandra accepted the role of First Assistant to the renowned celebrity stylist, Amanda Ross, which allowed Alexandra to develop her trademark for edgy, classic and minimal fashion statements. While working with Amanda, Alexandra gained invaluable experience in editorials at Departures Magazine, styling runway shows and dressing red carpet events, which included dressing the entire cast of the hit TV series Smash and notable personalities Vera Farmiga, Naomi Watts, and Mariska Hargitay. Additionally, consulting for designers and companies such as Lord & Taylor, Natori, and Anne Klien.
Since starting her own consultancy firm, Alexandra has worked on a wide range of projects include accepting the role of Fashion Director at the fashion start-up iBoutiques; styling the Surf Lodge Capsule Collection Lookbook; working with Creative Director Sal Khokar on two major productions including styling the first magazine for the famed TRANOI Paris and most recently a multi-day fashion video shoot for Nowness. Alexandra has also shot with renowned photographer An Le and styled three ad campaign's: Sephora, SUAVEkids, and Clarisonic as well as two charity campaigns for BVLGARI and Marc Fisher.
Alexandra’s holistic approach to fashion and branding has lead to opportunities to style some of the world’s most successful, beautiful and inspiring women. Past projects include styling Victoria Secret model Candace Swanepoel, 5 time Olympic champion and all-around gold medal gymnast Nastia Liukin, 2008 Olympic medalist and Dancing with the Stars winner Shawn Johnson, Olympic figure skating medalist Sasha Cohen, top models Anne-Sophie Monrad, Charlbi Dean Kriek, Meki Saldana, VH1 host and star of “Log on and Eat” Eden Grinshpan as well as several NYC socialites.
